Brite Solar has been selected as one of the best Business Cases of Eco-Innovation by the OECD, under the framework of the project-competition “Green Growth & Eco-Innovation”.
The aim of this project was to indentify and analyze business cases from OECD and non –OECD economies, that apply innovative technologies to create new products and business values under the principles of sustainable manufacturing. Eco-innovation helps to enable this evolution through a combination of technological and non-technological changes that can yield substantial environmental improvements providing green growth pathways.
Brite Solar provides eco-innovation solutions both for its production process and product development of its visionary Pane PowerTM Solar Windows which strives to bring to mass deployment for applications requiring transparent solar glass. Brite Solar has developed patented solar panel technology, PanePowerTM Solar Windows, based on Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) at a very competitive cost, for solar glass applications in commercial and residential buildings, greenhouses, cars sun-roofs etc. Brite was established in Q3 2009 with an R&D Lab in Greece and Marketing & Sales in the USA. In 2011 Brite was selected as one of the top 10 companies performing innovative applied research, from numerous entries in the completion “Greece Innovates” sponsored by Eurobank EFG and the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV).
