Over the past two weeks ARTEMIS Laboratory had the pleasure of hosting Furkan TÜZÜN, PhD candidate at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University (METU) as part of the mobility activities of SolarHub, focused on capacity building. The action was also supported by Erasmus Plus mobility program for traineeships. During his visit, Furkan investigated the innovative projects at ARTEMIS laboratory (CPERI/CERTH) activities and engaged in fruitful discussions with our team members.
He also had the chance to explore spira - Technology Transfer Office CERTH where he gained valuable insights into their cutting-edge initiatives. Beyond visiting CERTH, Furkan visited the Greek partners of SolarHub, Electra Energy Cooperative, Brite Solar, Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) and the Region of Central Macedonia enriching his understanding of the shared aspects of the Greek and Turkish ecosystems.
This knowledge exchange has been incredibly beneficial, strengthening the bonds between our organizations. ARTEMIS Laboratory look forward to continuing these meaningful interactions and driving forward the mission of SolarHub together.

The visit took place at the #energo buiding / Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Hub for the Research and Adoption of Sustainable Energy Sources. The construction and outfitting of the #energo building at Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) was donated by the SNF and was completed in 2022. The building hosts a large part of the research activities of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH). The purpose of the donation is to strengthen the research activities of the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), enabling the formation of an integrated research unit that concentrates development of various innovative technologies under one roof. The aim is to create new prospects for collaboration and research that can help bring about a smooth and equitable energy transition rooted in the circular economy.
